It’s been a while since I wanted to do a SELF-LOVE ARTICLE, if you follow me on my Instagram :) you can already see that I have a STORY DEDICATED JUST FOR SELF-LOVE ❤️🫶🏻.
I am going to divide THE THEME of SELF-LOVE into more articles :) 🫶🏻.

I am going to begin by writing my own experiences & then TOOLS that ARE HELPING ME along the way 🫶🏻.
I’VE BEEN STRUGGLING FOR YEARS WITH REALLY LOVING MYSELF, not wanting to accept how I am, my difficulties (mostly at school, relationships), my personality traits, trying (mostly at the end…) to control my feelings, by DAMAGING MYSELF…which is not, ABSOLUTELY NOT, a GOOD WAY in LOVING YOURSELF. I STILL STRUGGLE WITH IT, IT’S BETTER FORTUNATELY BUT I’ve come to realise that I could not love myself from one day to another one (overnight), IT’S A JOURNEY in fact, it takes time (especially if you are dealing for years with loving yourself ❤️)patience and discipline.
How about you? Do you also struggle with loving yourself ❤️? In that case YOU ARE NOT ALONE AT ALL…🫶🏻.
•“Already as a young kid, when I was not able to do a school task & mom tried to help me (the best way she could…)🫶🏻 BUT I still could not understand… I would first scream at her and then very ashamed of my reactions I would give to my mom letters where I wrote I was worthless, stupid, so in one word SELF-HATE.”
•“Growing up, apart from my school difficulties, I met people who (slowly) made me feel awful with my own self…(TO BE CONTINUED) at a certain point in my life (I could say 13 to 18 but also later on with MODELING) I began doubting a lot on my own body, my countenance.
I know what you could think: “She has a model body, face” (If you have seen my Instagram…🫶🏻),
but, you could be super in form & still not be happy with your own self (I am going to WRITE also about SELF-ESTEEM 🫶🏻), Yes I know I am skinny but mostly at the end of modeling with agencies I never felt enough, I didn’t feel comfortable in my own body, I had the need to always workout (I will write about MODELING WITH MY LAST AGENCY further on…)
•I once told my previous therapist (at the age of 14) that I was not feeling pretty enough & she just told me:“Sofia, there are girls who are crying nights to be like you (aesthetically)”.
I REALLY DIDN’T FEEL UNDERSTOOD AT ALL.
LEARNING TO PRACTICE SELF-LOVE IN YOUR DAILY LIFE can be challenging if you struggle or have struggled to ACCEPT YOURSELF FOR THE WAY YOU ARE ❤️.
BABY STEPS everyday are FUNDAMENTAL to begin YOUR SELF-LOVE JOURNEY 🫶🏻❤️.
MEDICATION (if needed…), THERAPY, HEALTHY PEOPLE, DIFFERENT KIND OF TECHNIQUES are all fundamental (especially if you find it hard to manage it all by yourself) to begin ACCEPTING YOURSELF FOR THE WAY YOU ARE ❤️.
I am going to share with you some TIPS, TECHNIQUES of what I do 🫶🏻…I’ll then share more in my next SELF-LOVE ARTICLES 🫶🏻❤️.
•SELF-LOVING AFFIRMATIONS: for ex. I LOVE MYSELF FOR THE WAY I AM❤️, I EMBRACE MY OWN UNIQUENESS. Write them down on paper, post-its so you can also see them, repeat them to yourself, also out loud these words ❤️🫶🏻…
•HUG YOURSELF: try to hug yourself for the way you are, you could do that also in front of a mirror, do some breathing and tell yourself also how you are feeling (I know, it can be easy to not do that..BUT TRY AT LEAST then it’s PRACTICE, if it’s hard try to share your feelings with your therapist (if you can…) otherwise to a trusted person 💖)
•MEDITATION: short BUT FOCUSED meditations on SELF-LOVE: I use for ex. THE MINDFULNESS APP
(there are both free or paid ones..), SELF-LOVE MUSIC, MEDITATIONS on INSIGHT TIMER.
•TAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF: SELF-CARE such as skincare (face mask…), read a good book, a self-loving book (such as AMATI PER AMARE by Daniele Di Benedetti, PRETTY HAPPY by Kate Hudson HEALTHY WAYS TO LOVE YOUR BODY)
•Try to ask for support to a loved one if your self-esteem isn’t the best, you could say: “Hey, I am not feeling my best could you please remind me of MY SELF-WORTH, that I count…”?
Some months ago I went into a loop telling also my mom how I felt about myself & after understanding what I was saying (I was crying) she immediately said: “NO!!! YOU ARE NOT THAT !!”
•PREPARE OR BUY AN HEALTHY MEAL: I love to prepare COLOURFUL PLATES :) IN MY STORY DEDICATED TO SELF-LOVE you’ll find a story with a meal that I myself have prepared, COLOURFUL :)
•Energy break: treat yourself with something sweet :) BUT also healthy such as DATE RAW BALLS, OAT COOKIES…
