Capes (Fashion story #4)

EN:

Hello World,

The cape was common in mediaeval Europe and by the 19th century it returned as a fashion item. The capes also have their roots in religion, in effect there is a type of cape called “ferraiolo” (worn by Roman Catholic clergy).

When it comes to shape and shade: short is best and as are dramatic shades, like black, grey and rich red, while plaid or check add character.

See you later alligator,

Kisses.

Ciao Mondo,

A domani,

Baci

  2. That checkered cape is so fab!! I want one. I resort to wearing my blazers as capes (draped over my shoulders) because I can’t find any actual capes being sold here in the Philippines.

Thanks for giving us a brief history about the cape as well. I’m quite clueless when it comes to the history of fashion items and am always eager to learn more!
